Welcome to Singing Voice Separation Listening Test

Singing Voice Separation (SVS) is an engineering technique used to separate the vocal and instrumental components from a musical piece.

We are trying to evaluate how well this separation is being performed by various methods.

Why?

It is important for researchers to be able to evaluate the performance of the current state of the art methods in order to improve upon it.

This experiment will help us compare various methods of separating vocals and instrumentals for our research?

How?

We have divided the experiment into two parts for assessment of separated vocals and instrumentals.

In part one we assess the performance of the methods for the separation of vocals in terms of isolation, intelligibility and overall quality.

Your Contribution

We need you to participate in both the parts of this experiment.

In each part you will be listening to short audio clips and judge their quality on a scale of 1 to 100. Each experiment should take five to ten minutes to complete.

We appreciate your contribution towards our research and send out a giant thank you to all the participants!

Part One
